We are excited to announce that Auto-Dispatching is launching soon, and we'd like to give you a sneak preview of how it works!
Once some initial setup is done in RoutingBox, the Dispatching screen will use several factors to intelligently and automatically route upcoming trips to drivers! Setup simply includes defining time and location preferences, and priority settings. You can select different time frames based on Zones, and you can set priority by Account Class, Trip Purpose, and on Trips themselves.
As trip pickup times enter the selected time frame, RoutingBox will begin to identify routes that will be available at that time, calculate their distance, availability, vehicle space, and any upcoming stops if your company multi-loads. Once the best route has been identified, the trip will automatically be assigned to the driver - without a dispatcher at the computer!
Other settings allow you to choose the trips and areas you'd like covered by Auto-Dispatching, and set restrictions on maximum distance, and how late a trip is allowed to be.

Don't forget about Custom Fields, one of the most adaptable tools in RoutingBox. Custom Fields can be added to the Account, Client, Company, Employee, Provider, Trip, and Vehicle screens. They're a great way to store additional information about trips, display notes in other screens, and can even be used in conjunction with Custom Workflows to automate additional functions, or price and code trips differently certain cases.
