How to Create a Custom Field Web Version

RoutingBox allows you to create Custom Fields for the following: Account, Client, Company, Employee, Provider, Trip, and Vehicle.

Navigate to the Settings tab on the left hand menu bar, then select Custom Fields.

Select New Custom Field

1. Enter a Label to name the Custom Field you are making. This is Required.

2. Choose a Record Type to assign the Custom Field to a specific screen.

3. Choose the Type of the Custom Field.

  • Number– Allows numbers only, 0-9
  • String– Allows a series of numbers and/or letters
  • DateTime – Creates a field where a date and time can be selected
  • DropDown – Allows you to create a drop down list of selectable items

4. Choose the Length of the Custom Field, meaning how many characters numbers and/or letters for the entry.

5. If more than one Custom Field is on the same screen, the Display Order will dictate what order they appear in.

The toggle will be ORANGE if the custom field is active,
