How to Set Up SMS Reminders in RoutingBox Web

RoutingBox features the option of SMS reminders for trips one day in advance of the trip with availability for the client to confirm or cancel the trip

 

A company website with terms and conditions displayed and available to customers is needed to set up SMS reminders.

 

Setting up SMS reminders

In RoutingBox (web) the account class needs to be selected and "turned on" for clients in that account class to receive SMS reminders. To "turn on" SMS reminders navigate to Settings in the left hand side bar.

In the settings screen, then select Account Classes

In Account Classes, select the account you would like to turn SMS reminders on for like Medicaid or self-pay.

NOTE: Each Account Class will need to be turned on separately. Account Classes need to be active for the SMS reminder to be sent out.

In the Account Class screen for the account selected the SMS Reminders toggle will need to be turned on. The Reminder Time is able to be selected to be sent out the day prior to the trip.

Reminder Time needs to be in the 24 hour format. Example: 2:00 PM would be 14:00.

After toggling on SMS Reminders and selecting the desired reminder time for the day prior, be sure to click Update to save your changes to the Account.

 

To ensure SMS reminders are delivered, make sure the client profile is correctly formatted and up to date. 

Client Phone number : To receive SMS trip reminders, client must have at least one phone number (SMS Enabled) saved under their profile. SMS reminders will be sent in the following order: first to the Contact Phone; if that number is unavailable or the message fails to deliver, the system will then try the Mobile Phone, followed by Phone1, and finally Phone2. If any number is missing or the SMS cannot be delivered, RoutingBox will automatically move to the next available number in the sequence.

While setting up the phone number to use for SMS reminder, same Phone number should not be used for multiple Clients. This will cause issues when sending/receiving trip reminder SMS for specific Client’s trip.
