Using Trip Viewer in RoutingBox Web
What is Trip Viewer?
Trip Viewer is a configurable table view in RoutingBox that allows you to browse, filter, and export trip data based on your specific needs. Unlike standard canned reports, Trip Viewer puts you in control of what information is displayed and how it is organized — making it a flexible tool for day-to-day trip lookups as well as more detailed data review and reporting.
Trip Viewer is available in both the Web and Desktop versions of RoutingBox. This article focuses on the Web version, accessible at app.routingbox.com.
Getting to Trip Viewer
From the main navigation, go to Scheduling → Trip Viewer.

Configuring Your View
Trip Viewer allows you to customize both the filters and columns displayed in your table.
Filters Use the filter panel to narrow down the trips displayed based on criteria such as date range, trip status, driver, vehicle, or other available fields. As with other screens in RoutingBox, filters are a common reason data may appear missing — if you are not seeing trips you expect, review your active filters before assuming a data issue.

Columns You can add, remove, and reorder columns to display only the data points relevant to your needs. This allows you to tailor the table to match the information you are looking for without sorting through unnecessary fields.

Saving Your Configuration
Once you have set up a filter and column configuration that works for you, Trip Viewer allows you to save it as a named view. This means you do not need to reconfigure your preferences each time you return — simply select your saved view from the available options and your table will load with your preferred settings applied.
This is especially useful if different members of your team need different views of the same trip data, as each user can maintain their own saved configurations.

Exporting Trip Data
Trip Viewer supports exporting your current table view to a CSV file. The export will reflect the columns and filters currently applied, so configure your view before exporting to ensure the output contains exactly what you need.
To export, apply your desired filters and columns, then select the download option in the lower left of the grid to download your CSV.
When to Use Trip Viewer vs. Standard Reports
Use standard reports when you need a predefined summary of trip data in a consistent format.
Use Trip Viewer when you need to:
-
Look up specific trips using custom filter combinations
-
View trip data with a specific set of columns not available in standard reports
-
Export a customized dataset for use outside of RoutingBox
-
Save and reuse a personalized data view across sessions
